The TVR Vixen S3 is a glass-fibre bodied sports car built around a tubular frame. Weighing next to nothing and powered by the Ford cross-flow engine from the Ford Capri, the Vixen was a fast alternative to it's rival at the time, the MG B. Sounding absolutely fantastic and bursting with character, the Vixen is becoming increasingly sought after and makes a fantastic track car while retaining plenty of practicality for longer trips and tours.
Presented in fabulous order this competition prepared but road legal Vixen benefits from a Phil Jones rebuilt engine which produces 110bhp at 6500rpm and 104ft lbs at 3000rpm and comes with a fully comprehensive history file of all works carried out. These include:
  • Phil Jones Engine Developments rebuilt engine
  • FISA Roll Cage (rear section)
  • Adjustable Dampers (Polybushed)
  • Fixed Back Bucket Seats (Cobra)
  • Cobra Harnesses
  • New Gauges
  • Carpet Set
  • New Headlining
  • Electric Cut-Off Switch
  • Exhaust System
  • Braided Hoses
This Vixen drives and sounds absolutely glorious and it is obvious that it is a very well set up car indeed, providing positive and predictable handling with very little body roll while still retaining road usability. Performance is of course very lively as you'd expect of such a lightweight car and would make a great race car or retro trackday toy.
